Inspiration from the Best Sources
Sandra’s own children offer lots of inspiration for her characters, their interests and various challenges but it is more often her beliefs and desire to follow Christ’s teachings that drives her to write. Whether it is a retelling of the first story, the greatest story or her own story, her speculative fiction crosses in and out of the Christian books genre. The Change the World collection does not push any specific religion but hopefully opens up doors for discussion. Some stories are more traditional for the genre including Christian characters struggling with their faith. Other stories may not mention God or Christ in any way but being a Christian will filter through all her work. She does not preach her beliefs in her books, she only shares them so others can understand.
